Ronnie Kopecky, 65, of Long Lake, passed away May 25, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

In honor of Ron's request, he was cremated, and no services will be held.

Ronnie Bill "Ron" Kopecky was born September 16, 1957, in Miller, to Gordon and Winnie (Morford) Kopecky.

He attended grade school at Eden School and graduated in 1975 from Polo High School. Ron married Pam Driver of Aberdeen on April 14, 1979. To this union two sons were born, John and Matt.

He is survived by his significant other, Mary Miller; his two sons, John and Matt Kopecky; granddaughter, Evelyn; brother, Jerry (Cindy) Kopecky; six sisters, Bonnie Wilson, Sharon Serfling, Linda (Tom) Johannsen, Judy (Don) Craft, Kathy (Bill) Savage, and Leasa Ortmeier; sister-in-law, Janet Kopecky; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary "Smokey" Kopecky; nephew, Troy Wilson; and nieces, Jodi Johannsen and Terri Wilson.
