Fiddlin' Around

We were driving in the evening over the weekend for a weather check. Big clouds surrounded us. But there were no rains coming, but what did we see? A bright half rainbow! It showed up when it hadn't even rained yet. But it did manage a little measurable precip a little later in the evening or perhaps overnight.

And we have had some days with 90-degree temperatures along with strong wind. And that were to be expected when summer actually arrives, I guess! But our weather seems to go from one extreme to the other this time of the year. So we will see!

We had a series of uniques last week. There was a phone call Tuesday asking to get a notice in about a memorial service at the cemetery. We said it was past our deadline, but maybe we could sneak in a small notice. We were given a name and location. Neither were familiar. What - “Is this Ipswich, SD?” No it was Ipswich, Mass. Later that week we got an email to “Dear Brian” about a show at the Cooneana Heritage Centre. “You mentioned that you may be interested in doing a story for us before the event.” This was for Ipswich, Australia.

Hard to believe that Ipswich would be such a common name. Will Ipswich, England be next?
