Did you ever get a wedding invite from somebody that you didn't know was even on the planet? We recently did exactly that.

It was missing its entire address on the envelope, only addressed to PO Box Ipswich. The Post Office took a stab and put it in our box. So if you know Abigail and Mathieu who will be married in September stop in the Tribune office by the Subway for your invite. They ask you to RSVP by August 20.

We occasionally do receive a graduation or shower invitation, but we usually do know the people who sent it. Anyway it's quite a long time until the next graduation. So you will have plenty of opportunities to become more acquainted with some of the area's 2024 graduating high school seniors. But schools are busy getting ready for their respective openers!

Hopefully the Brown County Fair will be dried out really well by this weekend. That shouldn’t be much of a problem because really hot weather is in the forecast.

The Sunday precip. event really seemed like it would usher in fall weather, but obviously not premanently.

The weather usually goes from one extreme to the other and probably still will. And that is how you obtain your averages.
