The past weekends high school state football championships at the Dome indeed turned out to be quite interesting. Even if you aren't necessarily that much of a football fan!

But two of our LRC members advanced to the Dome. One of them would be the Faulkton Trojans who sustained a narrow 32-30 loss to Avon. The other conference member was Warner who would have a little easier time to win in a high scoring game. The Monarchs indeed won that game to cap a perfect season.

Sioux Falls Lincoln would dominate its inter-city rival O'Gorman in the big-school division to close out the weekend with a perfect season record. Pierre would easily top a ESD rival Yankton for its seventh consecutive title this time in the 11AA division. Dell Rapids was the best in 11A and so was Hot Springs in 11B, while Parkston captured the 9AA title.

Warner and Faulkton will then also attend the girls' state volleyball meet in Rapid City on November 16-18. Another opportunity for the LRC to shine!
