The Ipswich/Bowdle wrestling team competed in the Bob Lager Invitational in Miller on Jan. 6.

The I/B team earned 22 points for 15th place. Phillip Area won the event with 204.5 points.

I/B wrestler Kadyn Weisser placed fourth wrestling Tim Bouza of Wagner in the third place match.

I/B wrestling results were:

144 — Gunnar Knittel: lost by fall 1:14, won by decision 7-0, lost by fall 3:48, scoring one team point

157 — Beau Schilling: won by injury default 0:20 lost by fall 1:00, lost by fall 1:00, scoring four team points

175 — Justin Rohrbach: received a bye, lost by decision 2-0, lost by decision 5-0

215 — Kadyn Weisser: won by fall 0:32, lost by decision 3-0, won by major decision 10-0, won by fall 1:37, won by decision 8-5, lost by major decision 14-6 for fourth place, scoring 16 team points

Ipswich/Bowdle grapplers are scheduled to wrestle in Gettysburg on Saturday.
