Local young wrestlers compete at State Tourney

The parade of athletes took place Sunday morning at the state tournament before the placing rounds. Local wrestlers who participated were, back row wrestling Dads, Scott Braun, Nick Kallas, Russel Braun, Joel Heilman, Craig Howard; front row, Jase Heilman, Stetson Heilman, Elmer Braun, Harper Opsahl, Skyler Opsahl, Grant Braun, Elliott Kallas, Isaiah Kadlec, Cole Braun, Cayson Howard, and Sutton Howard.
Ipswich-Area wrestlers competed in the AAU SDWCA State Tournament in Rapid City March 16-17.
Local wrestlers results included:
Second Place: Skyler Opsahl Girls Bantam 65 and Elmer Braun Bantam 61
Fifth Place: Stetson Heilman Bantam 44, Cayson Howard Bantam 57, Harper Opsahl Girls Midgets 96, Jase Heilman Midgets 104
Sixth Place: Elliott Kallas Bantam 53 6th place
Local wrestlers who competed but did not place were: Sutton Howard Tots 37, Cole Braun Tots 49, Asher Miller Bantam 47, Isaiah Kadlec Midget 59, Tucker Habeck Novice 175, Chance Miller Schoolboy 90, Kaden Reuer Cadet 126.
