Ipswich outlasted Aberdeen Christian 33-31 in a boys' high school basketball showdown last Tuesday in Aberdeen. The defensive struggle was what often happens in a game between Lake Region Conference opponents and that was certainly the case that night.
Ipswich led 8-7 after a quarter and 18-13 at intermission. But AC came out of their locker room and put together an 8-6 third-quarter lead to tighten things up a bit. The Knights also edged the Tigers 10-9 in the third stanza to keep things even closer.
