Golf boys team seventh at Mitchell Invite

The Ipswich Tiger golfers attended a Class B Invite in Mitchell last Friday.
Ipswich earned seventh in the boys team chase with its 277, led by Luke Peterson’s individual sixth with an 82, landing him in the Top 15.
Next was Chet Peterson, 33rd with 94. The third IHS scorer was Matthew Jaenisch, 55th with a 101. Jase Konsor was 59th with a 102.
The top team was Platte-Geddes with its 257 topping runner-up Chester Area at 261.
Brody Boltjes of Platte-Geddes was the top individual that day with 72.
Meanwhile Ipswich sent two girls to their division in Mitchell, but needed a minimum of three golfers to be eligible for the team standings.
Hallie Feldman placed 36th with her 111 and Tarynn Kleffman was 54th at 143.
Howard was the girls team champion. Kelsey Morrison of White River was the individual girls leader.
Ipswich golfers plan to attend a Faulkton event on April 16.
