Once again there was a high school track and field attended by more than one Tiger team. It was indeed the Groton Invitational hosted by the Groton Tigers last Tuesday in Groton. And again the IHS Tigers made an impression both in the field and on the track.

For instance? Katelyn Geditz swept the girls' throwing competition with a 31-10 shot put toss and 102-3 discus spin. Ipswich won the 800-meter girls' relay, comprised of Halle Heinz, Paige Mehlberg, Emily DeRaad and Vanesa Diaz in 1:59.48. Ipswich also claimed the girls' 1,600-meter relay in 4:28.72.
