Action Club Cross Country at Highmore

Ipswich and North Central both participated in a cross country invitational at Highmore last Saturday.

The NC Thunder girls were fourth in their varsity as were their varsity boys.

The girls varsity team crown was awarded to Potter County with 6 team points and the second-place team would be Faulkton Area at 26 followed by Stanley County with 35 team points and the Thunder girls were narrowly behind Stanley County's third-place 35 with their 36.

This event was won by Potter County's Danika Kaup with her 19:59.45 effort followed by Autumn Fallis of the host school with her 20:19.87 clocking. The Thunder girls were led by Grace Roth in 15th at 22:17.50 followed by Melanie Dallenbach in 17th at 22:32.86. Mikaela Malsom was 20th in 22:42.59 and Kassandra Abbas finished 21st in 22:58.28.

Ipswich was led by Madisyn Gellhaus who was third overall at 20:29.08. And next would be Gracyn Kadlec in tenth at 21:53.75.

The Thunder varsity boys scored 45 team points in their fourth-place effort. This was won individually by Pierce Baumberger of Miller in 16:17.95 followed by Wakely Burns of Philip in 16:25.12. The team champions were Philip with 11 team points and second-place Miller had 16 team points. Dupree placed third with its 28.

The Thunder were led by Anthony Miller with his 15th-place 18:34.19. Drew Arbach was next with his 19th-place 19:02.09. Avery Wells became their third scorer with his 21st-place 19:06.11. And Theo Haerter was 33rd in 20:52.23.

Meanwhile Ipswich's Xavier Kadlec finished 14th in 18:29.06.

North Central: 5-Aaron Ingerson, 19:42.96; 6-Jason Arbach, 19:57.37; 8-Noah Ingerson 20:16.73

Ipswich: 9-Tyler Gellhaus, 20:23.19; 13-Ethan Wald, 21:23.04; 17-Tye Pietz, 22:34.52; 24-Kadyn Weisser, 27:08.55

Girls 5K Junior Varsity results:

North Central: 4-Lily Roth, 23:38.65; 14-Sophie Kroll, 28:00.94

Ipswich: 6-Aubrey Crissman, 24:17.49; 8-Olivia Kadlec, 24:42.48; 15-Bella Unser, 28:34.58

Boys 2.5K Middle School results:

Ipswich: 4-Brayan Paguaga, 10:11.98; 32-Edison Unser, 12:00.88; 39-Benjamin Hoyle, 12:43.55; 40-Riley Pietz, 12:44.01; 47-Jaxon Jager, 13:46.76

Girls 2.5K Middle School results:

Ipswich: 1-Jennay Gisi, 10:26.54; 7-Emri Braun, 11:24.54; 34-Shawna Henderson, 13:15.64

North Central: 12-Katherina Malsom, 11:42.55; 35-Olivia Matott, 13:19.53; 40-Gwen Pruskowski, 14:09.07
