Thunder gets win in North Dakota

North Central's netters defeated Strasburg/Zeeland, N.D. 3-0 last Thursday. The scores were 25-15, 25-17 and 25-13.
They were able to obtain 95 hits including 37 kills. Amree VanderVorst went 25-28 with 11 kills and Natalie Bieber finished 16-18 with 10 kills. Ella Batie chipped in with 19 hits that featured 10 kills.
The Thunder were 67-73 at the net including six aces. Sydnee Malsam was 17-17 with two aces followed by Jenisa Jacobs at 9-10 with two aces and VanderVorst, 11-13 with two aces.
They were led in setting by Sydney Bertsch at 88-90 with 28 assists. The team went 115-128 with 32 assists.
NC had 67 digs, led by Jacobs with 17 and VanderVorst with 15. The team had two blocks and Batie was pretty decent in that phase of their game.
The Thunder played Leola/Frederick Area on Tuesday in Leola. NC hosts Herreid/Selby Area on Thursday in Eureka.
