Tigers battle in Mobridge

Ipswich traveled to Mobridge last Monday and would return with a straight-sets 3-0 loss. The IHS Tigers would indeed lose the Battle of the Big Cats 25-12, 25-8 and 25-16.

Unofficially Ipswich would end up 32-44 in its net attack with eight kills, led by Marley Guthmiller at 14-15 with two kills and Kaylin Onken finished 7-8 at the net with two kills. But the M-P hosts would be 58-63 at the net with 34 kills led by Charley Henderson at 15-15 with a dozen kills.

Ipswich was 76-80 in setting and featured eight assists. The setters were mainly led by Reaghan Bowers at 30-31 with four assists. The IHS Tigers finished 32-35 in their serving attempts, led by Gabby Wald with one ace. But M-P included seven aces among their 64 total serves.

Ipswich came up with 25 digs led by Wald with 12 of them. Mobridge-Pollock countered with 23 digs.The IHS Tigers added two assisted blocks apiece by Natalie Crissman and Onken.
