Ipswich hosted a girls/ boys Lake Region Conference twinbill in Ipswich vs. Aberdeen Christian with split results on Feb. 6. The IHS varsity girls would indeed defeat their rivals from Aberdeen by a final 40-24 verdict, but the AC Knights boys hang on for an eventual 67-63 verdict.
Lake Region Conference confrontations often turn out to be a defensive struggle and that was certainly true of the girls game. Especially after the opening quarter when Ipswich would escape with a 17-5 lead!
