    The Ipswich High School Homecoming activities were held last week. The theme was "Traveling with the Tigers." Coronation was held on Thursday, Oct. 5.     We did barely manage to get up in time for the Gypsy Day parade Saturday in Aberdeen. It turned out that it would be fairly decent weather-wise as the day would progress. We caught most of the bands and there were some really impressive ones. Edmunds Central School’s band looked and sounded good. Ipswich had other commitments that day and could not attend.     Ipswich attended a high school volleyball tourney hosted by Potter County in Gettysburg last Saturday. Ipswich was able to come away with one win and three losses in their four matches. The win would be against McIntosh 25-21 and 25-23 - both close decisions. But the Tigers were defeated 2-0 by Phillip 25-11 and 25-13 and Wolsey-Wessington 25-13 and 25-12. The individual set scores were indeed all in favor of the Trojans -- 25-17, 25-15 and 25-8. Ipswich was unofficially 24-44 in its net attack that included 18 kills.
