IHS thinclads runners-up at Eureka Lions meet

 


The weather permitted a May 4 track and field meet to be held in Eureka, sponsored by the Eureka Lions. Ipswich got second in both the girls' and boys' team outcomes.

On the women's side only the Aberdeen Central girls were able to out-score Ipswich 195.5 to 105. Eleven girls' teams managed to score at this event.

That was also true in the boys' competition where Ipswich was narrowly edged 143 to 135 by the eventual team champions, the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers.

Ashlinn Hartwell placed first for the IHS Tigers in the 3,200-meter run in 13:38.7 and her teammate Graycn Kadlec was second there...
