    The Feeding South Dakota Mobile Food Pantry will return to Edmunds County soon. The Food Pantry will be in Ipswich Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Edmunds County 4-H Building. The Food Pantry will be in Bowdle on Friday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Proxy pickups are allowed.     Eureka hosted a high school golf tourney on April 29 named the Eureka Kuchen Classic. This was attended by the Ipswich boys who edged Edmunds Central 128 to 129 for their team title. Eight different boys teams were eligible for this affair with five girls' teams eligible for their team standings. The girls' event was won by Faulkton 148 to 160 over the runners-up host team, Eureka, led by Faulkton's Gabby Kast at 47. The second-place girl would be Selby Area's Maize Baumann at 48.     Ipswich did quite well at a track and field meet hosted by Potter County last Saturday. How well? The Tiger boys were first in their team standings which turned out to indeed be a battle of the Tigers. That's because the Ipswich Tigers edged their Mobridge-Pollock counterparts 157-118 for the boys crown. But the MoPo Tigers returned the favor with a 134 to 112.5 victory over runners-up Ipswich for the girls title. Ipswich utilized impressive efforts in both the track and field events.     Ipswich attended a varsity high school track and field meet early last week in Estelline on April 25 named the Par Gilligan Alumni Meet. The Tigers had some notable events but the girls placed fifth with 59.75 team points won by Milbank with 88 points topping Deubrook Area's 86. The Tiger boys meanwhile totaled 71 team points for sixth, trailing Milbank's high of 92. Hamlin would be second with its 86 team points.
